United Services receives accreditation

Missouri Accreditation of Programs for Children and Youth on Oct. 24, 2022, awarded a Certificate of Accreditation to United Services for Children.

The accreditation distinguishes United Services as an exemplary program offering high-quality programming to St. Charles County children. Missouri Accreditation recognized the agency for its excellent curriculum, physical environment, health and safety protocols, and relationship building with children and families.

“The accreditation validates our ongoing philosophy that each child is unique, and that research-based practices help children tackle the small steps that lead to accomplishing big goals,” said Leslie Tucker, United Services director of programs.

Founded in 1975, United Services is a nonprofit organization that provides early intervention and pediatric therapy for children with developmental disabilities and delays, and offers support services for their families. United Services enrolls approximately 275 children annually in its St. Peters center.

United Services will be included in the “Directory of Accredited Programs,” located on the Missouri Accreditation website. This directory, which serves as a useful guide to parents seeking a high-quality program for their children, may be reached at www.moaccreditation.org.

Missouri Accreditation, founded in 1981, is an independent, nonprofit, nongovernmental institutional accrediting agency. It monitors and evaluates the quality of programs that provide physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth opportunities for young children in center-based, school-based, or home-based environments.
