Earlier this month, we were thrilled to welcome our new Play Makers young professionals group and give them a guided tour of United Services for Children’s St. Peters facility.
Occupational Therapist Erin Wisemore led the group through the building’s classrooms and activity spaces. She explained how we use therapeutic and early intervention techniques and equipment to help children of all abilities reach their full potential.
Comprised of the region’s brightest young movers and shakers, Play Makers is a group passionate about helping children and ensuring that United Services will continue to provide life-changing intervention for generations to come. The group will serve as the agency’s brand ambassadors as it organizes fun events based on philanthropy, volunteerism and networking.
Many of United Services’ current supporters were there when the agency was founded in 1975, said President and CEO Denise Liebel.
“As we look toward the next 45 years, we want to make sure our continuing services are in capable hands,” Denise said. “Play Makers will become the next generation of caretakers for United Services. Our future is in good hands.”
