It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Kent Heintz, this year’s Champion for Children. His unwavering dedication, compassionate leadership, and warm spirit have left an indelible mark on United Services for Children and on countless lives throughout our community.
For over 12 years, Kent served faithfully on our Blue Ribbon Committee, playing a pivotal role in raising awareness and critical funds to ensure children with developmental disabilities and delays could develop, grow, and thrive. His ability to connect people to a shared purpose—paired with his selflessness and generosity—set him apart as a true leader and advocate.
Kent’s influence reached far beyond our organization. His passion for making a difference inspired friends, family, and colleagues to join him in supporting causes close to his heart. Whether through his tireless advocacy or his belief in the power of collaboration, Kent embodied what it means to be a champion for good.
To Kent’s beloved daughters and family, we extend our deepest condolences. While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the legacy he leaves behind: the lives he touched, the opportunities he helped create, and the example he set for us all.
Kent Heintz was, and always will be, a true champion. His spirit will continue to uplift and guide us as we carry forward the work he cared about so deeply.
United Services is forever grateful for Kent’s exceptional service, leadership, and friendship. He will be profoundly missed.
