Landon Porter Joins United Services for Children as Director of Philanthropy

Former USC board member brings St. Louis-area fundraising experience to a newly redesigned role focused on donor partnership and community outreach

St. Charles, Mo. (November 3, 2026) United Services for Children (USC), a St. Charles nonprofit providing pediatric therapy and inclusive early childhood education for more than 50 years, has named Landon Porter as its Director of Philanthropy. Porter began his new role on October 14, 2026.

In this newly redesigned position, Porter leads USC’s individual giving, annual fund, and community fundraising events, and partners with President and CEO Julie Turner, on the organization’s indoor playground campaign.

Porter knows USC well. Before joining the staff, he served on the USC Board of Directors, stepping down from the board to accept the position.

“Landon already understands what happens inside our building and why it matters to the families we serve,” said Turner. “He brings real fundraising experience, deep roots in the St. Louis nonprofit community, and a genuine belief in this mission. Our donors and community partners are going to enjoy getting to know him.”

Porter brings fundraising experience from St. Louis-area nonprofits serving children and families. At University City Children’s Center, he raised critical tuition assistance support for children of all backgrounds to access quality early childhood education. He previously supported annual giving at Youth In Need. Earlier in his career, he raised his own support through campus ministry, building a base of individual donors through personal outreach.

Porter was an Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) St. Louis Fellow, is active with AFP St. Louis Emerging Professionals, and participated in the Spring 2025 FOCUS St. Louis Emerging Leaders program. Porter received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.

“Serving on the USC board showed me how much this organization means to families across our region,” said Porter. “I’m excited to build relationships with the people who make our work possible and to invite more of our community to be part of it.”
