Golf chairwoman is committed to the community

Between golf and banking, Stacia Peterson sees a lot of green.

She is the energetic chairwoman of the FORE the Children planning committee, a position she has held for four of the six years she has played in the golf tournament.

“I’m an avid golfer,” Stacia said. “It’s my passion. I love bringing new people and new sponsors to the tournament.”

FORE the Children proceeds benefit United Services for Children. The 24th annual tournament will take place Friday, May 18, at Bear Creek Golf Club in Wentzville.

Stacia became involved with United Services 24 years ago at the invitation of the agency’s former president, Billy Collier. Stacia served many years on the Blue Ribbon Committee that plans the annual United Services fundraising gala.

“I’m a huge advocate to promote businesses becoming involved with United Services,” Stacia said. “I believe strongly in their mission of helping children. It’s important for everyone, including businesses, to be involved in their community.”

At Busey Bank in O’Fallon, Stacia is the regional president of the St. Charles region for commercial banking. She has worked in the St. Louis and St. Charles area banking industry for 30 years.

Stacia said she is a consultative commercial banker, responsible for growing clients and relationships within St. Charles County and the St. Louis area. She is responsible for the growth of Busey Bank’s entire commercial portfolio and deposit relationships in the region, including commercial, industrial and real estate lending.

When she is not golfing or banking, Stacia spends her time traveling and attending her children’s sporting events.
